I thought this sounded familiar. You were going down the same rabbit hole almost 2 years ago.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Neither of these can be ported to MaxWedge size without extensive welding and the Weiand with an airfilter is not going to fit your N96. If you must have a MaxWedge sixpack then just use the Modman,

Oops! Thank you, I already know the Weiand won't fit under the 70 N96 hood, and I was considering the slightly taller than factory A12 scoop, but then I figured I'd be better off with the ModMan. My Weiand P3690982 6bbl intake is SO beautiful, the only mods to it are the 90° sharp corners where the plenum floor meets the intake runners have been beautifully radiused. I figured the factory intake would have to be welded for any chance of MW port size.
So, the ModMan it is...
I guess I'll have a great example of a Weiand 6bbl Cross Flow intake for sale soon. I'm going to wait until I see how the ModMan fits first, but once I buy the TF 270s then that's the point of no return.

Yes, but at least now I have the Bill Mitchell aluminum block paid in full...
Thanks for the reply. Now I'll be working on the budget for everything else that it takes to make the block into a running 541.

The Trick Flow heads are out of stock for at least 4 more months. You may run into the same problem with other parts that you need.
Order now, you may get stuff by summer.

Again, thank you. This may not make any difference re: stock availability, but my builder is a dealer for all or most of the brands I will use to stuff the block. Also, I am an open book, and I am not ashamed to say that having just paid off the block, I have to wait a bit for the next expenditures on the project. I may have to have half down and the other half available for the build to be done. Since I have gotten great pricing from the builder, I am going to comply with his parameters. It's better that way, because I won't have to sweat having a half finished engine sitting around for a year, although it may be that long before I can get all the rest of the parts and build done, I'd love to have it done and in my car by next October for Cruisin the Coast, and the stark reality that we aren't promised to be alive tomorrow.
