Exactly! Except you hastily misspelled 'guess' lolol.

It would need 840 hp uncorrected. This is street car. Is it running through exhaust? Looks like its got a pretty loose converter by the 60-330 incremental. 3200 with driver is pretty light for a GM A body. Especially with all the street equipment. Either it's really sorted out. Or it has some HP enhancement.

I figured it would run high nines given that its a street car without a race suspension and should be relatively heavy.

9.12 @ 149 mph+! I find that crazy!

Not to nitpick but man some of those East coast tracks are fast, real fast. Especially in the Fall.

Would be cool if they printed the DA on the timeslip.

It’s on everyone of my slips because I put it there. Corrected altitude calculated from barometer, humidity, and temp.

Well I can tell you it has no power adders for sure. I am assuming it makes north of 840 hp. What it really weighs I don't know........

It is a 560 cubic inch. It does have a chevy overdrive tranny with lockup converter.

So let me see if I have this correct. We have a 67 Cutlass street car. It has an production style Olds motor. Said motor has good enough cylinder heads, and cam, compression and intake that it can gain 28 mph in the back half. What type of Olds head is this good? Yet it has no cage or roll bar. I'll assume since it doesn't have any bars it probably doesn't have a lot of light weight parts either. Does it run with an exhaust system? So betting close to 3500 w/driver. Discounting the 60ft is it is as fast as my 15-1, -1 indy, .800" lift 572 in a good chassis at 3325lbs. I run brackets in Pro/Mod. There aren't very many car this quick with stock body panels and chassis of any brand at the tracks I've raced at. This guy must be a lot smarter than us.

So this is the motor. And of course its through a full exhaust! LOL! 3 1/2" all the way..........

He thoroughly impressed me. Hopefully will be putting a cage in it soon.

I'm gonna guess it's lighter than you think too.

Good looking Olds.

Please tell me it didn't run that on those wheels and tires! Great engine build! Love seeing different stuff like that.

Nice build. A race engine run on the street. The car looks very deceiving as well. Pretty impressive. And I'll go with my last comment. Those involved with this build are smarter than me.

bill trovato built my neighbors 496 and 540 for his cutlass. my neighbors car won't run any times like the '66 car, but his '70's cutlass is a bad a$$ street car.
