I drove a mid 70s Dodge B van with a 400 in it for a couple of years. It was pretty helpless if you got 4" of snow with an unplowed road. If that 4" of snow was the wet packing kind, you were lucky to get the van to even move, with a Sure Grip and real snow tires. It certainly sat up that high but no flares or spoiler. Thing was listed as a motorhome on the title. 400 with a 2 barrel and a Dana out back with a huge stack of springs. Painted red/orange with sailing ships airbrushed all over it. Called it the Seadog. We couldn't shut it down because the starter went Kaput in Milwaukee. Tried starting it for an hour. Nada. Thing backfired through the carb and it was so cold I jumped back and ripped my hand open on the cover. Key was on the run position and the next thing I know, boom, the van fired itself up. I kid you not. We all piled in and back to Michigan. So darn cold, my hand didn't even bleed. Hit the MI border and the snow started coming.
