Do you have any more pics showing how you got the end caps to fit? Did you slice the quarters?

No slicing. Slowly heated up the metal and manipulated/tapped from the backside. Be sure to frequently check the cap fitment as you go

The hood was just epoxied with Nason...nothing fancy
