It's been done, but you'd better have some kind of low fuel level (or pressure) cutoff for when your little fuel tank runs out! I'm not crazy about having a tank of fuel next to the headers, either... may not be allowed at the strip. How much nitrous are you planning to run? And how big is your existing fuel line/pump?

This engine is supposed to make around 700 N/A. I have a big Eddy pump 1/2" all the way up. Can't remember the #.

For a 100 shot I would just add a regulator to the existing system. No need for a stand alone fuel system for a 100 shot unless you are really close to maxing out the current pump and lines.

We may have same thoughts about a fuel tank in engine bay, I weld this little tank for a small nitrous system. that is what I was thinking about.

I have a fogger system as well...not sure I will ever use it but I'd like the option down the road. I could "T" off the existing I guess. I have -10 all the way up.

That tank looks way too big in my opinion. You only want to have enough fuel for 2 runs[100 or 200hp] and I think that would only be 1 gallon so another 1/2 for safety. I was thinking 1/2 gallon, I'm only going to use it in 2nd and 3rd.

The smallest fuel cell is probably 1 gal off the shelf. they make 1/2 gallon purge tanks, wonder if I could modify that...

I thinking it so easy to overfill a tiny tank

I have a N2O kit, fogger and plate, was thinking of running the plate. I was wondering if anybody has run a separate fuel system for the N2O up in the engine bay....like maybe where the battery used to be. I'd think it would be a much easier install. Bottle would be in the trunk. No mention of what Your fuel system is now , but a standalone under the hood is not really needed if you have a decent pump for the engine . Just need sepereate regulator for the nitrous system
....BAD A$$ STREET CAR.....

What do you have for a fuel pump, filter and lines? With an ample pump you can install a splitter and new fuel regulator.
HEMI-ITIS has no cure. My condition is fully BLOWN!!

I use a JAZ Jr. Dragster fuel cell located on the core support where the horns normally go. I mounted an electric pump below it. Works perfectly.

Years ago I ran a small 1 gallon cell where the battery used to be on my cuda. Mounted a Holley blue pump underneath and fed a plate system w/ it. It worked good, but I wouldn't do it again. I'd "T" into your current system ahead of your carburetor regulator and feed a separate nitrous only regulator from there. It'll be a much cleaner looking setup IMO.
AS far as comments about the size of the cell...A 1/2 gallon would last a LOT longer than you'd think w/ a small shot.

Way back in the 80's/early 90's, I got the N20 bug, read up a lot about it and decided that the N20 fuel was very important to keep volume there for hp and tune ability of pressures, like most of us we start out with a 100 shot but want the capability to go to 250+. On my '71 340 street/strip car we drilled the stock tank for 2 x 1/2" outlets and I had 2 blue pumps, 1 for N20 only with 1/2" lines to front. On the '69 440 race car the same with a fuel cell in the rear. Not necessary to go that route for smaller shots, a tee off is adequate in most cases but if your gonna get a bit serious thats what I would do and not because of any lean out cos lean won't kill the motor, you just won't make the power, too much timing on a lean jet spread will do that....
