Running GLSSA at 131 Motorsports Park. Car was great. 60ft s within .005.. My entire family surprised me. Sons, daughters laws, grand kids, their inlaws and some friends all showed up as well. 131 is 150 miles from my house. A great cookout and even watched NHL playoffs outside Sat night during the rain with a camp fire. Qualified #9 . Had a terrific match up in rd#2 against Brad Zaskowskis SS/H 67 Nova. He hadn't lost a rd in 3racces and was the points leader. There was a $100 bounty on his head. Double breakout. Got him by .0003. Went to the semis 5th rd. Car slowed .04? Then it dropped .10 on the #3 1/8 th mile bracket pass. We checked fluids, throttle opening, oil, coolant , timing, dist cap, vacuum, fuel pressure. Nothing. Then it stalled on the way up to the 4th rd. Found the MSD ground loose. Fixed it and staged. Bad vibration from the motor right after the leave. Well the picture tells the story. Doug

Heard about it from Aaron after i left. Sorry bud, that sucks. You have a wonderful family, really nice kids. Your wife seemed to like me mistaking her for your daughter...lol Good seeing you guys, again, sorry about the motor. Really liked you waiting on that guy who broke in the lanes you were paired with, good sportsmanship...lots of guys wouldnt have given him that long to get it fired/fixed.

sorry to see that...too many laps on it !!! You put hundreds of passes on your stuff !! Real bummer you never got the "8" you were looking for out of it. Im in the same boat right now, rebuild time i guess, im sure it will be better !!! Positive side of this.... you didnt get into any oil and wreck the car, thank god you safe and the car will race again

Yeah it was a good weekend right up until that point! For those of you who've ever wondered about a diaper, this was a good example that they can work. They never even had to clean up the track... the diaper (which was SOAKED) caught every drop of oil. He can chime in with more engine specifics once he gets it apart (i just text him, he was starting this afternoon). The block is the big question... hopefully it can be saved. Too bad... had the chassis working REALLY REALLY well this weekend. Made two passes where it went 1.39 60ft on the rear tires. Nice low wheelie... just holds it forever... https://youtu.be/D3G3mR1WxjI
