Ive a part I need, Ive called many of the online places and they tell me its been discontinued.
One of the places gave me a dealer number in long island and I called them and they said its not discontinued but is on back order.
So 3 including Jegs tells me its discontinued and one dealer telling me its on backorder.
How do I find out the real deal on this part. Its about $375 and I dont want it out there in limbo if the parts never gonna be made again.
TIA

If the dealer is willing to dig for the information, they can go through the channels and get the company contact information for who actually makes the item you are after. Thats the kicker. If they are willing to dig. When I worked parts, stopped in 04, I had dug up information like that for people. Only did it once I made sure they weren't tire kickers just wasting my time. Also, if its already painted, try another color then get it painted to match.

Actually a online mopar outlet parts guy who did not have the part did a search and gave me a dealer number in Long Island who had them but they were just bought via internet.

The used to be, or maybe still be, a website you could do a nationwide search on PN's. But for the life of me I cannot remember it's name. https://www.partsvoice.com/

It also covers sellers that aren't dealers, like Frank Mitchell. I've bought a few things from whomever is running that show nowadays without issue.
