Same as you, I like summits web site better.
Both price match many other vendors and both will lie recently about shipping days just to sit on ones cash. Now I call in every order and only get it if they have it so they can ship.

Summits website is way way better but I price shop them and summit usually wins because they deliver faster and usually have more in stock. It is funny how when you copy the part number the summit page pops up a reminder about price match.

I used to be impartial to either. Maybe prefered Summit more as they seem to get orders to me a bit faster. But then for some reason I got locked out of my Jegs account and after several emails and calls and a few attempts to create a new account to my email unsuccessfully, I sort of wrote them off. I did try recently to redo my account and it worked, so I will be giving them a shot for next project. And when I say Summit gets orders pretty I mean real quick. On more than one occasion I have ordered something at night or early morning and have had it arrive late that day.

I use both, the other day I ordered an Autometer water temp gauge for my Dart from Summit as my old one failed, I went to my local speed shop to get one instead, they had one in stock and after tax it ended up being the same price as Summit and I had it and didn't`t have to worry about it getting here in time for racing this weekend. I called Summit to cancel the order and it went fine. I have however had trouble with returns to Jegs recently resulting in more than an hour on the phone. Summit appears to be better in that situation. Shipping seems to be taking longer from both lately as they appear to not be stocking as many items and are having items shipped directly from the manufacturer.

I use both equally. I am lucky in that I am in Indiana, and both Summit and Jegs are Ohio companies. In fact, sometimes I will drive to the Jegs retail store in Columbus to spend some cash. In 2019, I also went to the big Summit store in Tallmadge to buy a Trick Flow top end kit. (i wanted to pay cash)
I think they are both great companies that have figured out how to survive selling speed parts in the internet age.

Summit is the go to simply for having a site that in an order of magnitude better. I did order a caliper from Jegs last year though because Summit advertised a six week delay where Jegs had it in stock.

Summit will get my order here within 24 hours 90%of the time, Jegs is typically a week. So if I need it yesterday, Summit all the way.

I use whichever one is cheaper. I've had good luck with both places for many years. Me too. I also use Speedway for some stuff. Lately Summit has been getting more of my money because I can use my Discount Tire Credit card to buy from their website. Summit and Discount tire both use the same financial company for their credit cards. At least they did through last year.

At Summit I have a pro shop account, that helps keep me their. Plus their search is better than Jegs. It's good to have the competition between them. Summit really hasn't screwd up much. Jegs sold me a couple hemi blocks that don't exist, stringing me along for months, then cancelled.

Summit. I drive by both of Jegs locations twice a day (one indirectly and one the next exit north of where I work) and if I have to go get parts I will go to Summit. I find it hard to drive back to Columbus on my days off. I normally find using Summit's website is easier. But I'll use Jegs when I need to.
