Amsoil has a new line of Dominator racing oils that I'm switching to, 5w-20 and 10w-30. I've also used their 0w-30 and diesel HDD 5w-30.

Amsoil source and info site.

I have a pump gas 9.2:1 small block stroker, 426, stout hyd cam, Scat forged crank, Carillo Rods, Diamond Pistons, etc.).

It's already dyno'd and broken in and I'm prepparing to dump the oil and filter and replace it all. Any reccomendations?

Now? Valvoline VR1 20W-50 . I used to use Kendall GT-1 Racing oil (the green oil). Now it's under Brad Penn and not as easily available.

Put 20-50 Brad Penn back in with HP Wix filter.
It was possibly broken in with Brad Penn 30
weight break in oil.

I have always used Valvoline in everything. I used Synpower in my last car and the standard oil in my daily driver. No problems with it + it's readily available. You can't find the Valvoline race oils, or any other race oil for that matter, very easily.

Shell Rotella T + STP for my classic. Its has the zinc the flat tappet needs with STP for extra insurance plus its readily available and reasonably priced.

Brad Penn for two years now and I like it,,used to run the old Kendall GT-1, then it became non-existant so I switched to Rotella T untill I found the BP.

Only one supporter of the AMSoil but the graph shown is interesting, how does it stack up in an engine requiring zinc? A ball bearing test is one thing, what kind of real world comparisons exist?
