Piston shape and hone was the most return I have found. Alan, I know you probably can't give away much but I was under the impression that the piston was shaped to to yield the absolute minimum volume in the cylinder ? So in other words the valve pockets and cylinder chamber shape with some minimal clearance and the compression ratio is whatever that yields ? AG.

I stumbled on to the dome back in the middle of 18 and I didn't really figure it out 100 percent until a couple of weeks ago. I always found in pretty much every engine I built put the flattest piston you can make and you will make the most power. some reason that isn't what the Hemi wants. I have a idea why the charge doesn't swirl when it enters the chamber with a flat piston it tumbles. What is so crazy I have taken apart a lot of pro stock engines built by a lot of smart people and what I have found they all have pretty flat pistons. If I make my piston flat with the exact same compression my motor will be done 75hp. Piston shape and hone was the most return I have found. Everyday, you are one day less from putting Mopar in the winners circle, were it belongs in Pro Stock.
Your fans in Iceland look forward to when it happens!

Piston shape and hone was the most return I have found. Hi Alan, is there any chance you'd be willing to share a typical RpK, RK and RvK you strive for, if not, I understand.

Rpk 7-9 Rk 18-22 Rvk 35-40 Every block and ring combination is different so what works for me probably won't for you. I'm pretty much done with trying different hone stuff this is been working pretty well lately. Piston shape and hone was the most return I have found.
