For those of us not to the level of knowledge many of you are:
What do the Rpk, Rk and Rvk values represent?

Thanks, Joe

Honing Terms
Rpk =Peak roughness
Rk =Core roughness
Rvk =Valley roughness found below the core roughness

If I make my piston flat with the exact same compression my motor will be done 75hp.

Alan,

I think it has to do with the Hemi99 valves being more of a true cross flow nature head, While the DRCE heads are closer to being "side by side"

The Hemi 99 and DRCE valve layout/chamber design is quite similar. No one uses a "side by side" or Gen 1/2 Hemi style "cross flow" chamber design, everything is canted.

I understand they are not side by side like a traditional wedge but in a canted position , but the Hemi 99 is closer to being a cross flow then the DRCE head, the DRCE heads are more of a a 10/4 o'clock while the 99's are closer to a 11/5 o'clock
