I just wanted to check in again . I know I have told you guys that I was closing in on the pack a year ago but I was just fooling my self. A year ago I thought I was maybe 20 to 25 hp off but I was wrong by a lot. Over the break for covid we worked hard on the dyno and made big improvements but only on one motor. I didn't have the parts to duplicate what I had found and to tell the truth I was not even a 100 percent sure what I had found. We really ran good at the us nats at Indy but once again I broke a twenty dollar part and had to run a motor that was 25hp down to finish the year. Well over the winter I really invested a lot of money in fresh parts and a lot of them. We now have 2 haas darts with five motors all making the same power 20 more average hp then we had at Indy and there if I was not so scared to swing for it I feel I could of quifyed 8 or 9. We only ran a mph off the fastest car all weekend.
This week I had a motor on my dyno for 2 days 25 pulls that has been a middle of the pack engine. We have it covered by 30hp from 8600 to 10300.
What hurts the most is I haven't changed one part in 4 years it was in there and I was looking in all the wrong places. I put 2 dyno sheets up one from when I would run .08 to .1 off the fastest car a year ago to a pull I made last Sunday. Kenny delco my buddy told me 3 years ago to stop racing and go home and work on your engines and I told him I had plenty of power I think I was wrong.
I know I have so much more work to do but I'm not quitting until I put this hemi on top. Keep a eye on us I think you guys might be surprised.

+60hp at the peaks

I cant imagine the time and cost to find 60hp at that level. Unreal dedication.

Without giving away too many state secrets, what areas did you work on to achieve those gains?

Wow.....Keep at it! One of these days, your going to scare the Bowties off the other cars!

And I would love to see the developments you make eventually trickle down to us bracket guys....That's awesome....Hopefully we will see you in the winners circle a couple times this year.

That’s dedication Alan, and probably a whole bunch of other things I shouldn’t mention!...I hope it all pays off. Pro Stock just isn’t the same anymore, but I watch at least to see how you do. I wish Charlie could get the Ford back out too. Best of luck this year. Todd

Yes diamonds piston is what we use. The ford is really the same as a dodge so I think it can be just as good as my engine.
