I remember renting that on vhs from the library years ago as a kid. I'm amazed they even attempted it after that test run...the way the car was bouncing going just a few mph was crazy. I guess it was a good thing for Kenny Powers, if it didnt bounce and make the chutes open early he probably would have been killed.
Never knew Ken Carter died in a jump a few years later.
The 8 story ramp was only 40 minutes from me and I used to drive by it all the time. Seeing it those years it stood waiting for the jump kinda gave you an eerie feeling. Today it is all housing there after years of just seeing a pile of dirt worn down from years of decay.
