NO mopar day this year ????

scheadule list sat 9/12/09 as mopar day ??

I think it was dropped. I was on the site and now it is not. We could all just show up and take over....

It was posted on another site that ALL specialty events were cancelled at 75-80. This includes Mopar Day, Ford Day, ect.....

I still haven't managed to make it up there since they re-opened earlier this year. Are they doing OK, or is this likely to be a one-year deal for the new management? Cancelling the specialty events is not a good omen, at least from my perspective.

Sundays aren't so busy. Saturday nights they run all the outlaw classes, and the place is pretty full for that. I was there testing last friday night, and I pitted just past the 1/8 mile. To get in the line for my last pass (there were two lanes for test/tune) I just moved the car next to the trailer.
They had a lot of their big outlaw races get postponed due to rain, so they probably canceled the special events to rerun those races that would attract a larger spectator base.

Do they still offer test & tune on Sundays? I'd like to get in some 1/4 mile passes, rather than just 1/8 mile like on Friday nights.

Anyone that races in that area know a guy named Jeff Meleo. He races a Purple Challenger with I think a Pink and Green stripe down the side. I met him through work and used to talk to him on a regular basis but haven't talked to him in a few years. Last time I talked to him he just had the car backhalved and was running around 10.90's.

I know Jeff, but haven't talked to him in years. I saw recently he's in the points at both 75-80 and Mason-Dixon, so he's still active on the race scene.

I think last time I talked to him his wife was starting to race also.

1/4 mile both friday and saturday

saturday night isnt as packed and if you get there when the gates open you can get a million passes in if you wanted to

Uhhh... how is tech these days? I "might" have an expired trans shield on the car which won't be changed any time soon. Other than that, it's OK.
