I'll be installing mine this spring. I'll create a post so you can all follow along. I have to do a conversion from auto. So there will be more then just a a833 swap. Wish me luck

Yea I'm of the opinion they have too many unhappy customers for that kind of money.
I was one Email away from pulling the trigger on an 855. It's too bad, I like Jaime, and wanted to support the cause. With the huge wait times, and apparent problems, parts availability in the future is a big concern.
The new Tremec is more work, but, will probably have better customer service.

Make sure you use a manual transmission GL4 oil and not GL5. Mine is a little notchy going into 3rd when cold but otherwise it works great.
HOWEVER, others have experienced significant problems https://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/threads/a855-5-speed.442999/

Thanks for posting that. Just read it all. Guess we were lucky the one we got shifted well. I'd not heard of shifting problems till now.

I will say this. Not an excuse for the transmission problems people are having. There's no excuse for that. But this transmission is way more complicated than an engine block and blocks are in short supply. Really hope they are able to sort it all out.

Another option.

Passon also has a wide ratio 4 speed Hemi (18 spline) gear set. That's the route I'm going. My 470" should be able to overcome the bigger steps between gears smile Was hoping to do it this fall but JUST NO TIME. Ugh.

If you do go with a tremek avoid American powertrain. Many broken promises and deadlines on delivery. And I'm not sure they really know what they're talking about either.
