Looks like another case of the ongoing, assembly line verses NOS
Terry your correct, if you notice in the pics the assembly line cable has a small tail coming off the firewall attachment plug towards the gas pedal, and the metal end (barrel and ferrule) are a smaller diameter than the NOS ones, and no tail on the nos ones either.I recently went through this observation while finishing up my car. Dave, Looks like you are on your way to another all-nighter. I had thought that even the "Energizer Bunny" would sleep at least once in a while! BR

"Energizer Bunny"
Just finished (literally) the last two customer VIN decals for the week. (If Ken M. is reading any of this, I also finished and sent your fuel filter.) Now I need to start delivering those beautiful colored eggs. Yes wild Bill…..us Bunnies do not have much time for sleep!

Special little pc of bent metal that prevents the throttle cable ears from folding in and pulling the cable through the firewall. What do I win, Johnny?? MB

Mike, You win nothing. With 3 NOS samples on hand, I am in control of the Universe on this item. Plans are being drawn up for these to be repoped, and I will do my best to keep the tooling costs of this complex item under 50K. Bill Rolik
