So the News on the streets these days are that the RTS Cuda has been uncovered from the storage unit it has been sitting in for years and the man that owned it has passed. Word is that something related to the cars discovery will be coming soon but for now it is all hush hush. There is a picture of the car being loaded on a flat bed in Michigan but people are going to a lot of trouble to keep the picture off the World Wide Web . . . Supposedly the photo was on a phone that was stolen from the Detroit Autorama and then hit the web a few days later. Too much drama for me but certainly look forward to seeing the car.

All your info is wrong but the last part. It is I who took the picture and it was stolen from my friends phone at Autorama. I'm the one keeping it off the internet the best I can. So you and the auto archeological are one and the same? So please what is the big deal with a picture? For all we know, that picture could of been taken in 1971? Sounds like this could be a great story, what is the hold up? If the car is still in Michigan, can I come see it? Help if I can . .

Yes, it is I, the Auto Archaeologist... or at least that is what I call myself. Well I took the picture, it wasn't taken in 71. It is a great story, and a friend had his phone stolen for it at Autorama in Detroit for it. Like, legit stolen while he was in the bathroom. We all signed NDAs we can't talk about it right now, but more info will be coming out in the near future.

As you may know, I’m an admin on cuda-challenger and E-Bodies.org. Certainly when the time comes, hope you can share the story with the members of the forums. Always wondered where that car was and then to find out it was possibly close to me here in Detroit. Wow

congrats to the new owners, if it helps i believe tony fridecki was the rts cudas owners name, the car was so original that the original paint still showed marks on top of the 1/4 panels from the straps use when it was being transported, yep, they actually held down the car by puttin a strap across the top of the trunk area, and on the corners of the tops of the 1/4 panels where the strap made contact it left marks in the paint, i hope the car is restored, it was good enough as it was and can only be original once, i used to have his address and phone # but cant find it at the moment
value on those cras are tough to figure, i was suprised at how low the other 3 RTS cars sold for at mecum a few years ago with the buyers premium the 71 road runner $236k, the 70 HEMI road runner $341k + $264k for the duster so is a 6-pak cuda worth more then a 70 Hemi road runner?
btw, out of the 3 that sold only the 71 road runner was unrestored, the other 2 Steve restored to a level that will never be parrelled
