They used to fly right over my house, way back then. On a clear summer day, we would see them on the southern horizon about 200 miles away. We'd grab our binoculars and lie on the grass looking up to watch them fly over on their way to Alert duty over the Arctic. Cool stuff. I grew up about 90 miles northeast of Calgary.

B52s are now a common site in Northern Australia, part of the US troop deployment to the area. 3 B2s left Northern Australia a few weeks ago according the US Military News Service for exercises over the South China Seas.
