With Jack Roush as his engine guy. Those were some cool articles. Too bad TEN went and killed most of their publications off.

Pinto? laugh2

Gray Baskerville of Hot Rod Magazine 'tested' it in the snow.

40 years on, what was so radical then, seems kinda slow now. 9.40 @ 140

Still a neat piece.

drive

9.40 @ 140, N/A, on leaf springs with slapper bars and a dual plane intake on a 500" engine is pretty impressive to me. Now days nitrous and turbos seem to make it easy.

Brock Yates was a very cool car guy and great writer. Our paths crossed many times and I cherish the time I spent with him. One of my steering wheels hung on the wall of his "Cannonball Pub" in Wyoming, NY. Man, that was a looong time ago!

Oooops ... wrong quote above ....

I made a hood for the Mustang ... a one off piece ... because I kind of knew Joe and had made some limited parts for both G and R.

Cactus Jack separate biz started to EXPLODE around the time that Joe was doing Major fiddling with the car .....

I rode in the car with the 4 barrel .... almost scary fast.

When he put the twin turbos on it ... I think Andy Mannarino did that ....

Anyone remember him ? Street racer too .... his NHRA race partner was ?

AM said the car pulled like his PRO STOCK CAR ... with the turbos ...
