The other one is a D5N truck running a procharged 440 that has run a best of 11.78 @ 116mph. It gets used daily for his landscaping business.

MINE... Most are blown away w/my et`s at the track and a few even thaught it was a 12-sec. car. When I was at bakersfield I asked a chevy guy what lane I should run in and he said "what is that, a 12-sec. car?" I told him it ran low 10`s and was gonna get my 9 on this pass and he sort of chuckled. When I came back w/ my 9.98 slip he shook my hand and we had a beer(or three)and was blown away. There are a lot of fast sleepers on this site and at the track so I guess it`s more relative to me about the et`s and looking meek and slow than a 12-sec car that is a sleeper that IS slow.

The greatest sleeper of all time was the tan dodge pickup with ladder rack that used to race at Englishtown. The paint was beat to hell and I think it had his company name on the side (faded) as it was still his daily driver. It had a 340 on nitrous connected to a 4 speed.

I haven't seen him racing there in a couple years now but he was clicking off low 11's. I remember him changing transmissions between rounds and pulling all the tools and parts out of the bed. He didn't even bother taking out the dead weight when going down the track!

As a matter of fact I can............I live WAY too far away to drive to tracks around here to prove I can. I drive the hell out of my car and no one locally has beat or even met my 9.98 n/a pass in a true street car.......nuff said!

I agree. And I like Shaker223's and cheapstreetdustr's cars too.

I want to see stock rims and non performance body No RR's, R/T's, GTX's

no shiny paint
no bright colors
Some road rash
weathered engine compartment
no aluminum rims, even dog dishes are that stealthy any more
bench seat
column automatic
no big tires
no hood scoops or performance hoods
4 doors are a plus!
mufflers that keep it as quiet as possible
74 and up smogger cars

There was a TWO barrel "350" 68 firebird street racer out in the San Fernando Valley I thought had a really sleeper motor. Body was beat too. But the "Firebird" part of it wasn't that sleeper.

Relentless doesn't look stock and Gary Donovan is a royal jerk. I love the 4cyl turbo cars (hell, I own one, and they do catch a number of people off guard) but that man has done more to turn people away from those cars with his attitude than he's done to turn people on to them. That may not be the case any more but back when he was one of the only people supplying parts....

My sleeper vote has to go to any turbo minivan.
