Alright, so Chrysler DID buy them.
Just finishing up this one for a guy who grew up in my old hometown and I knew from my dad's antique car club...

I've always been a Mopar guy, but I have many other soft spots - AMC being one of them. Due in part to getting really smoked one day in 1976 in my 70 Cuda 340 by a Rambler SCrambler 390. Man, did that guy know how to launch!!

I've seen that car. The blue vinyl top makes that car. Diego, this guy may have grown up in Iowa, but Colorado plates on the car and the photos he sent for me to work from were taken in the mountains. There sure aren’t any mountains in Iowa! 😁

I've seen that car. The blue vinyl top makes that car. Diego, spoke with the owner, he appreciates your remark about remembering the car. He also sent some photos of the car as it was when he found it at a storage facility in Colorado. It looked like it had been rode hard and put up wet. Less than 2500 of these cars built, and the majority of those 2500 were the red, white & blue combination you typically think of when talking about Rebel Machines. Really rare cars...
