That is the first time I've seen Shahan and Butch Leal name use together, let alone on one of his cars If my memory is correct Shirley Shahan won the 1965 NHRA Winternationals (SP?) in her A990 1965 Plymouth race Hemi SS car Butch was probably around 19 yrs old then
Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

That's why Shahan is on the car.

Those tiny rear tires, don't enhance the look of that car ..momma always told me if you don't have anything nice to say don't say nothin' at all ..I want to be generous but lets just say that used to be a beautiful car lol maybe hes running a class that takes a smaller tire So that was my ride. I got it as a gutted roller from Tank. Updated it 25.5 car, wired the car, plumbed it, put the powertrain in, had exhaust built, new shifter, racepak with racepak gauges etc. It kills my soul a little bit to see how it looks today. I normally don't bash other peoples rides, but i think i can be slightly critical in this case. The wheels that were on the car could accommodate the 10.5W if he had converted it to a bead lock, and the car would look normal. Or he could have had wheels made the correct offset and width. The Bubak thing.... No words.... The hood scoop kills me. Just because of the hours of work, engineering, and effort to slam the motor low enough in the car to make the CNC tunnel / cross ram fit under the factory scoop, and it did, and sealed to the bottom of the hood. Seems like the car still runs good, so that is cool, glad the guy is enjoying it, its a fun ride. Part of me wishes we had hung on to it, but i couldn't pass up getting my old 64 plymouth back.
In God we trust, all others pay cash.

Here's a couple of our friend Curt's Super Bee. The 1st image is from the 90s at ETown. The mag articles are from the Nov. 75 issue of Hot Cars. He is not the original owner but has had it a long time.
