Sorry. Did not intend to start a 'PILE ON'

I just will not use the RED stamped wheel ramps anymore. I have an old set of the Blue ones that have a steel strap down half way but I'll jack the vehicle up and put the ramps under, never drive up or down.

45-50 years ago I'd use cinder blocks too....... 1983, Lost a buddy when his Chevelle crumbled up a cinder block. They found him about 6 hours later still alive but he died later.

No worries, Dave - I think everyone just wants John to avoid getting hurt.

My paranoia is those ratcheting stands. And it extends to putting a wheel/tire under a rocker as a back-up laugh2

No worries here too.

I would NEVER use cinder blocks to support a car.. Where people screw up with them, is that they use the flat or solid side of the block to put the car on, the side NOT designed to carry weight. "Oh, it'll support a house", um, no, not by itself.

I usually throw the tires underneath too unless I'm using them to stand on (like when the pic was taken).

It may not seem like it, but I do try to take extra precautions since I usually work alone.

Be safe out there everyone. beer
