If I “had” to use that motor, I’d find a Ford product to put it in.

There are several Ford bodies I like well enough to use.

There's plenty of Fox bodies around. That would be a killer setup, plus save the Ford guys the shame of having another Fox end up with an LS in it. boogie

Exactly. You want to sell in the future its all Ford and would sell a lot easier. Sell the motor and put a 1000 HP Gen3 Hemi in your Mopar or stuff a Gen 2 Hemi at 636 CI and get a lot more attention than a Ford Motor would.

Seems like you should be able to make it work if you can fab the parts.

It would be great to see that setup in an original LS car, like a later F body. Especially since Ford guys already think the LS is a copy of a Windsor. Take the LS out of the F body and swap that into the Duster. Then find a Foxbody and put a 318 in that.

maybe if you put a power glide on that motor-------anyway everyone has to suffer with the glut of SBC put in other makes of cars-----a local guy has a 1970 426 hemi cuda he brings to shows---he has his wife drive out a 1970? firebird conv with a 440-6pack to park next to it----yes the hoods are up---the GM guys are going nuts-----nah he doesnt want to sell the firebird to any GM guy---he likes it like it is......

Not sure why you would want to do such a thing, but I'm sure it would work with enough fabrication. I'm a die hard Mopar guy, I married a die hard Ford girl. We built a windsor for her 63 falcon. You have do to do a whole lot more to those fords to make them live and make the power of a Mopar engine. Plus if I had a ford engine I'd stick it in a mustang. They are dime a dz and a whole lot lighter and cheaper than a mopar.

I think some of you guys are missing the point. He already has the car and the drive train and he just wants to put it together.
Yea it would be nice to have the money to buy a Mustang and put that drivetrain in it but that wasn't the question shruggy

I understood his point but I guess the consensus is that 85% say NO, don't do it. All personal opinions is all.

Same consensus over on the VW Bug forums when someone asks about putting a Subaru engine in a BUG. I have a neighbor with a 65 Beetle with 2007 STi running gear that has blown so many minds. But the BUG NUTs are always upset with him....
