A power drum brake HEMI would have a painted master cylinder too. The manual brake ones were left natural. I see they painted the engine components all separated and then bolted them together with natural bolts... oopps!
Something interesting if you look is that it has a rubber plug for the hole where the headlight vacuum lines would have been. I would think the factory would have just not bored the hole out on "500" models, just the same way they do on the tach wire hole. Never seen a plug before. Makes you wonder about it being a normal charger firewall and the bodyman didn't catch the extra hole he need to weld up. Most Charger 500s the hoses were just cut off at the firewall and left there during the conversion

Would this ebay master cylinder be correct for a 69 GTX ? Someone I know said he could rebuild mine for $240, seems like a lot, maybe I should buy the one on ebay. the lid on mine has a silver finish, do they change in color over time ?, Thanks yes, Strap and bolt should be a dark phosphate color silver cap is/was aftermkt

Wow, it didn't seem that Mick was looking to have the car picked apart but it happened anyway. That's ok, I more or less expected it! But just wanted to put it up for people to see. it is an amazing car!

That is a great looking car. Do you think he will have it at the Spring Fling car show this April ? I don't know who the owner is. Has a bunch of cars though. Had a 69 Hemi Road Runner in there before this one being restored. No idea if it will be at the fling or not.

Wow, it didn't seem that Mick was looking to have the car picked apart but it happened anyway. My comment was never meant to pick it apart. Thing is, a lot of people use this threads as reference. and NO ONE learns if someone doesnt point out flaws / errors
