I've been trying to find the correct column shift linkage for a 69 340 Dart with a 727 trans. I've had a number of people offer me linkage that is supposed to be correct for a 69 340/727 A-body but they always seem to be a little different from one to the next. Either one or both of the rods will be bent at a different angle or one of the brackets to the trans. or frame are different. It's getting frustrating trying to determine what is correct because everyone says their linkage is the correct one. So, I'd like to ask if anyone here who has an original 69 340/727 column shifted A-body could post or send me some pictures I would appreciate it. I already bought one set of linkage that was supposed to be what I need only to find out it was actually 318/904 linkage.

I have the 340/727 setup and a slant 6/904 setup.

About half the parts are slightly different to compensate for the larger 727. I gave this info to another member on here years ago, but I'm unsure If I have it on my computer still. I will look and see....

Yes, that would help. I would just like to see a pic of an actual set of 340/727 linkage (the type that would be used on a 69 A-body) so I can be sure what I am looking at if someone is selling a set. I guess the length and bends of the linkage rods is different from 904 linkage and the z-bar is shorter for the 727. If possible, some measurements of the 2 linkage rods and the length of the z-bar would be helpful. Thanks.

904 and 727 definitely different...so is a 2 piece or 3 piece set up..good luck it's a pain to get
