Now, who in their right mind would scrap a HEMI Road Runner?? Especially a clean, rust-free race car? Original 383 car, turned into a HEMI.IIRC, the car was cut up to for Super Gas, and the project never finished, so it was scrapped. The original owner is on Facebook.

Thanks for posting these great photos. Beech Bend in Bowling Green has a rich racing history, great old facility. You're welcome. I'm glad some people out there enjoy seeing them. Yep, BB had a lot of great cars make passes down their quarter mile. Q426

Q426 Another clue that it was not a hemi car is while looking at the engine picture of the car it has a 2 speed wiper motor, what looks to be 22" radiator and core support. Very cool picture without a doubt! Matt
