It's not on their web site, yet, but PS' FB page has some recent posts on their new King Cobra 4150 series. Think of it as a cross between a big venturi 4150 and an SV-1, where it still has 4 dedicated venturi, but uses spray bars instead of traditional boosters.

Not exactly unique, considering there have been other "spray bar" carb configs in the past. Still, interesting to check out and they're claiming "near Dominator" power for certain applications. shruggy

I knew it wasn't true since the BradH I know would've ordered one in each color. So I wasn't fooled at all.

One polished, one with the anti-corrosion block coating... would make nice bookends on my parts shelves as they gathered dust over the years.

Brad, I really think you should go for a couple of them carbs, I'd like to try one once you get bored with them and sell them for the next pretty thing. grin

If you'd buy the carb that I have listed for sale, I'd be halfway there to being able to buy one of those new fangled gadgets. grin

Doesn't C&S already have the patent on that design? Not sure how Patrick gets away with that. More CFM with a smaller venture because the booster is not there. Looks interesting, but I don't hear anyone saying how good the C&S carbs are and these look to be very similar.

I'm a fan of Pro Systems, but I'm skeptical. Kinda like the SV1s were...looks cool but the performance was, meh.
New designs/variations are a good thing though.

I wouldn't mind testing one for a while and comparing it to a well built twin blade.
Do i think either one will actually replace a well built dominator?
No, i don't, nothing has yet in Carbs.
Do i think this might work well for those that need more cfm but are limited to a 4150 style carb?
It might, the Twin Blade sure does.
Until i see more I'm going to have a hard time believing it will flow as much as a Twin Blade , much less a Dommy.
Would love to spend some time with one though.

Question for the board: Why is everything seemingly get built as a 3 circuit?
As yet, haven't found that very useful.

I'm sure you'll get some mixed opinions on 2-C vs 3-C... popcorn

Tell us (me) more about your Twin Blade experience. laugh2

IF C&S has a patent, it's probably on such a specific feature that anyone can design something functionally similar w/o infringing on it.

FWIW, I've heard very mixed comments re C&S stuff. IIRC, more positive re alcohol applications, not so much for gas. Look pretty friggin' kludgey to me.

More of a question than a statement. I called them years ago and was gonna give one a try, but never did. Then I got interested in the SV1 and a friend of mine bought one for his 440 small block dart with w7 heads. Car went 10 teens with very little tuning. Full interior street car. I think it could go 9’s easy. Engine made 730hp on Shady Dells dyno.

Brad: we have a 1200 on a 440/512/indy head ( 440-1) , wilson modded indy 4150 intake , little 625/270 cam/727/4.56 car- runs 6.37 in good air.
The twin blade picked up the bcar a lot over the 950 it had before , its been just deadly consistent .
The thing with the twin blade is that it gets up on the boosters at pretty low rpm and does so quickly so, pump shot/squirter tuning is a bit more critical on pure race cars - don't want to leave too rich.
Dom set this one up for us, not the guys that sell them and we haven't had a lick of issues.
All we had to do was final jetting and i think one high speed bleed change and Dom sent enough bleeds to go up or down two steps if memory serves.
Engine is a lot HAPPIER,

Is it as good as a Dom?
I don't think so, could probably drop some numbers with a Dom , however, this class only allows a 4150 flange carb so, its certainly a way to get more cfm if needed and, we needed it .
Vacuum numbers at wot are much better with the twinblade than they were with the Pro Systems 950.
Its a good carb , no issues, no crap parts, very good metering blocks and even those are better now.

I will have the duster done soon and plan on doing a back to back with it and a 1050 from Dom on a similar 512 and see how close they really are.

I can say, without qualms , if the car needs more carb and your limited to a 4150 flange, the twin blades definitely help.
I think they can get as large as 1450 cfm, heard rumors they have a body that will now do 1600 but have not confirmed that.

if your looking at one, let me know, also, you can get them with Dominator style boosters.

BTW: I think Dom is in communication with the guys that are actually doing the cutting edge research and development on the newest iteration of these units.
Hell, Dom is always connected to the guys doing the cutting edge carb stuff- grin.
