I have a local shop that sold me the Sun gear and planetaries a few years back for $50.
Not worth the effort IMO.

Not worth the effort IMO. May not be worth the effort if you keep the 4.56:1 gears in the rear.... But if you replace the 4.56's with some 4.10:1's the net effect in first gear is about the same but your 3rd gear run is much lower RPM. Very much worth the effort for a daily driver that races on week ends. (4.88/2.45)*2.74=5.46 (4.56/2.45)*2.74=4.07 (3.91/2.45)*2.74=4.37 (3.55/2.45)*2.74=3.97 (2.76/2.45)*2.74=3.08 (2.20/2.45)*2.74=2.46 So done as a package deal is where you get the net worth.
