That's a great barometer, 29.65 lots of air pressure, to bad it's hot and humid.
Good luck and get the first moparts win of the year!

Well today is done . And not really successful
Track iffy .
1st qual just spun up when ler button grabbed 2nd still spun . Rolled through for a 15 with 2.76 sixty
More rain
2nd qual spun but went 1.75 for a 10 80
So lost 3/10 in sixty and about 3 1/2 tenths et
No more qualifiers .
Race day tomorrow . Hope after grp 1 tonight and 3 classes before us tomorrow the track might be better . But dial will be a guess
I am #8 of 15 . So #15 is first round , 12.70 car

I'll have to see if I can find the pic I took of my thermometer / hygrometer showing 90+* F and 95% humidity one Mid-Atlantic August day. It was a total swamp-fest and my car was off at least .3 & 3 MPH from good air.

Days like that you walk out the front door and by the time you get to your car in the driveway, you want to go back inside and take another shower 'cuz you already sweated yourself out.

Come on guys, if the D.A. is not above 4500 Ft with above 100F air temps and around 50+ % humidity you ain't racing in the Mojave desert in the summer time grin
AKA aside, I've raced in those conditions at LACR and the old Las Vegas track year ago whiney
Las Vegas got smart sooner than LACR and started not opening the front gate until after 4:30PM from May until Sept., first time trial around 7:00 PM and first round after midnight.
I think the new track has a similar summer schedule also, does it?

Well my day went to custard , out in 2nd of 4 rounds .
1st elim was 31/3500da and 103 grains . Looked at yesterday and previous passes .
Ok i am going with 10.50 . Laid on the light for 0.080 , urgh , drove around a Holden v8 ute hard on brakes for a 10.53@117 .
Great i have a number to dial against !
Well that didnt last .
Rnd 2 DA3072 , dial a 10.49 against a tough 10.28
Crap not just a -0.031 but car spins so hard off line there is as much smoke as my burnout ! Literally
Fing hell !
I guess these Hoosier radials are just not working for me . I will have to reasses whether i import a new set of MT PBRs . I know the Hoosier is slower in the sixty than the mt for me .
Unfortunatelly my racing may be done for 6 months or do due to work issues . At least i have some time .

Why not a stiff wall bias slick?

I've tried both types of slicks and all the drag radials I know of don't work well on marginal tracks, none of them whiney down
On your deal with the water, rain, and low amount of runs on the track after the rain I would have put the bias ply tires on went for twocents
The radials on my old car where usually from .1 to .18 quicker and from 1 to 2 MPH faster on the good tracks on my old car up

NSSGuy and Cab
In the last 15 years or so i have only ever run crossply slicks once . I have never run them in the Plymouth . I have run the PBR since it came out and never had this spin issue . I havent had the PBR flat spin , yes occasionally scrabble or turn but always drove out .Part of the reason is as my daily when i drive to the track i only need to swap out rear tyres .
Oh well . Sometimes best laid plans dont work .
