I live about 50 miles from where Stu lived in South San Francisco. I posted a FREE giveaway ad here about a month ago to give away my 40 + year Mopar / Muscle Car magazine collection. JUST TODAY I found a gentleman 30 miles away who just came to my house today to pick up all TWENTY-SEVEN ( 27 ) BOXES ! ! ! I will advise him tomorrow that the MCG magazines are available ............ God's Speed Stu ! We will ALWAYS LOVE & MISS YOU !

I’m usually a buyer at Performance auto parts flea market type sales but I decided to take a few things I had laying around to get rid of. While unloading my stuff a guy spotted a box of hot rod, car craft types of magazines and said I’ll give you 20.00 for the boxful. I said make it 25.00 and we got a deal. Sold. Lol. Another guy bought one running board I had and even the guys buddy said I’ll bet you never thought you would sell that. I just laughed as I stuffed the cash in my pocket.

Are Sally and the girls doing ok, considering what they have been through? I'm sure it has been tough on them. When I spoke to Kim, the new president of the MPM, I asked her the same question. She answered that Sally was doing about as well as can be expected, and that there are good days, and also some really hard days. Kim mentioned that Sally has actually taken the Road Runner to some cruise ins, which I thought sounded wonderful, and that just like dealing with these magazines, that Sally is working on the clubhouse. Probably too many memories in there. But it sounds like it will go back to being a garage.

I've thought a lot about what she must be going through. It makes me want to step up my plan of having every car part I own labeled and what it is, and what it's worth.....just in case my turn came along. I especially get the magazine thing. I'm 62, and I've got Hot Rod and Car Craft from my teen years on, MCG from their day 1 to now, Mopar Muscle, Mopar Performance, and quite a few years of Hemmings Motor News. It would be overwhelming for my wife, and she has a pretty good handle on what my car stuff is worth. She also knows the magazines are merely a collection with little to no value. Still, I have a LOT of stuff.

Hey MCG/Rob and crew would you guys like to help out Stu's wife with this...pretty sure you have requests for back issues all of the time. And with this (that I didn't know either) "Apparently, if you stack them neatly in order they produce pictures of cars on the spine of the magazine? I personally didn't know this." it would be awesome to see how far those issues and someone else's collection has gotten. A website plug or magazine side note and may be an auction of sorts to help Stu's wife, That would be really nice. Thanks for any consideration MikeR Wow dart4forte you tree'd me.....I kept getting kicked out and wrote the above three times. Hey Rob any help or ideas?

I talked to Sally Tuesday night. She's a bit overwhelmed, but we had a laugh or two. I'm putting a slide show video together for her. I must be out of touch as I hadn't even heard of two of the artists she requested... Be a cool deal to video in detail the MPM clubhouse. I know for me I donated several items for the clubhouse and I’m sure others as well as locals have donated to Stus creation. Having some type of record would be a nice addition to this web site. Not trying to idolize Stu, just would like to see his creation saved before its dismantled.

It would take 3 days to see it all!

If I wasn't on the other side of the country I'd take the collection as I had to stop mine in 15. Until then I had them all the way back to newspaper style print

2 of my kids are at Embry Riddle in Prescott, AZ but no room in vehicles when they come home at the end of semester.
