looks like Vans auto is reproducing them. i have 1 1/2 NOS ones but not sure i want to put them on my driver LRE (plus NOS bases are a bit hard to find) so these may be a good choice..

someone on one of the Facebook Tin Grille groups posted that there is also a metal support bracket that goes inside the door. Anyone have any pictures of that? Easy to make DIY?

I do not have a picture handy - but it is a pretty simple rectangle plate shaped to the door with the 4 screw holes tapped into it.

I can take and post a pic soon if nobody beats me too it.

my repo sport mirrors came today. very happy with how they look. the bases i don't see any difference sitting next to a NOS base i took from the original mopar box other then part numbers. maybe someone can spot a difference.. the mirror head you can see a difference. the repop has crisper lines to me.. the repop in the pics is the brighter one. the other is a NOS that is on the dirty side.. can easily see the difference but i actually like the crisper lines in the repop..:) repop base is on the left and i'm pointing to it in the one picture..

Looks good. I'll probably end up ordering. My biggest concern is how long the ball and socket for adjustment holds out. That's my problem on the old OEM ones I have.

Could just be an illusion from the picture angle but looks like the arm coming off the base on the repop is not on quite as much angle as the nos. Looks like this in all three pictures though. Mirror head I agree I like the crisper lines on it too.

My old OEM mirrors were bought used and wouldn't budge on the adjustment. I finally had to heat them up after trying soaking them for days with PB Blaster failed. Heating them up got them to move but the just flopped loosely once they moved, so I had to tape them into the right position, then glue them into place, so now they won't adjust, but at least are set for me, the only driver

I used a small amount of Gorilla Glue so it doesn't look too bad, but I'd still like to buy a set of these, and probably will, to have a functioning set.

Nice to know that there are replacement mirrors that look similar to mirrors on an A100 that aren’t astronomical in price.
My last set of NOS mirrors cost an arm and a leg.

i see where these have 4 screw holes. not sure if what i have is a sport mirror or not. 2 holes and has the stiffener plate. what do i have then? will try to load pic shortly.

These are not van of that era, the van ones had 4 holes as well but a slight curve on the base, these are 81' and newer truck bases, they are narrower the the older ones to fit above the crisp body line on the 81' and newer doors
