Finally had a free day and mounted the 6.4 to my E body k frame using my home built lifting bracket and engine dolly. I'm no Bob Villa or master welder but they did what I needed. Figured I'd share pictures in case anyone else had the same problem and didn't feel like shelling out $ for an actual dolly or engine lift bracket. I was going to just use a premade dolly, but decided to make my own with higher end wheels. Glad I did, its way easier to move around.

Engine dolly should allow me to setup the front accessories, modify the headers, and get everything figured out without the need to lean over the fenders. It already made a big difference getting access to modify the 45* oil filter housing.

I built these brackets to fit the adjustable lift. Kind of an upgrade from the Miller Special Tool.

My setup also incorporated a screw balancer, but it was attached directly to the hoist. The connection points don't lend itself to a nice balanced lift otherwise.

Ya, this one doesn’t allow front cover work and only works on ‘09 and newer. Had to pull a hydro locked motor with converter and this worked real well.
