J&J diapers if you get the heat resistant one is maybe 3/16 of an inch at most on the sides and can lay right on the headers. My son and I both run them.

I have had very good luck with DRE, Dennis has always been responsive to any requests for custom stuff and gets it done in a timely manor. Unfortunately we have performance tested a couple of them and zero issues

Curious about the drag link question as well. Anyone? All I can say again is my son has the diaper I recommend on his stock frontend small block Duster and is running one. We had more clearance issues with the Milidon oil pan and the 1 7/8 Hedmen headers but a 4 pound hammer fixed that.

I have a Russler II engine diaper, custom made at a generic price. He called me twice about the measurments just to make sure it would fit, and it fits like a glove. https://russlerii.com/My tie rods go through the oil pan sump. The diaper uses Velcro strips to attach flaps after the diaper is installed. I tested the diaper this spring when I broke a rod, going through the lights, very little oil leaked. It did dump some water as per the hole above the diaper as the rod broke the side of the block. But I felt no loss of traction and got the car stopped, track was only shut down a few minutes.

I have a Russler II diaper as well. Fit extremely nice. He'll make whatever you need.
