What dictated getting the rear valance blackout decals on the 71 Road Runner? Having the chrome tips as an option? Or was it standard ?

Thanks. Does A87 show on the fender tag , or on broadcast sheet? What does the deluxe wheel look like? Are they the same from 71-74 ?

Thanks Burdar, I was looking for a pic on the Hamtramck site and couldn't find it. I think the Deluxe for RR is the one in the upper right. Perhaps someone can confirm.

Thanks. Does A87 show on the fender tag , or on broadcast sheet? What does the deluxe wheel look like? Are they the same from 71-74 ? Some build plants coded the A87 on the tag and some did not. The broadcast sheet will code A87 as well as M75. On a 71 road runner, the rear bumper/valance blackout was only available as part of the A87 décor package. In addition to the rear blackout and deluxe steering wheel, the décor group added wheel lip moldings, upgraded interior door panels, and standard road runner hood indent stripes (V21)

Thanks for confirming the Deluxe wheel and the A87 option. Wasn't sure if the car had to have the chrome tips to have the tape treatment.
Anyone have any pics of their car or another with the wheel lip mouldings installed?

Anyone have any pics of their car or another with the wheel lip mouldings installed? Nope, I know of many A87 cars that did not have the N42 option, my LA built bahama yellow car is one of them. What color car do you want to see with the moldings?
