I know basically nothing about your car except that it's a BB stroker w/ Victor heads and SFT cam.
- Weight w/ driver?
- Gears?
- Tire size / radial or bias?
- Shift RPM?
- Trap RPM?
- Suspension?
- Carb size & type?
- Type intake and any spacer used?
- Air cleaner type & size (if one used)?
- Clearance between top of carb and air cleaner lid or underside of hood?
- Converter flash RPM from launch?
- DA during your most recent runs?

What did the car run in comparable conditions w/ the 408 SB stroker? How much has changed w/ the car since then, besides the engine swap?

I A$$ume there's some carb/ignition/chasssis tuning left on the table. I doubt advancing the cam is going to do much, if anything.

I was gonna start a new post on this after my next trip to the track, but here go's anyway.
3380# Race weight
4.10 gear
28" M/T ET Radial 325/50
6800 shift
6900 trap
Cal-trac on calvert mono
1100 Thumpercarb with 950 bangos
Indy 400-3 with a 1" Wilson's taper 4 hole
Moroso 3" drop base( ran with and without filter, ran better with. Switch to an air bell and ran better yet. 1" clearance between 6pac hood and air bell)
8" vert 5100 flash 6% slippage
DA I do not know, but humidity was 45% and air temp was 58* on last run
408 ran a best of 10.38@131, only thing different is the 727 trans for big block, but its set up the same and the 60/40 front shocks, had 90/10 calverts.
I'm now thinking the victor mw heads are to blame.
The single pic is my last run for the night.

I think the specs on the plug are just carbon off the chamber but would go to 34 to be safer.Keep up the good work.

GOTBOOST!New improved with Victor heads.

I did, but without an air cleaner there must be 5" of clearance, but yet with an air bell and 1" it ran better. I will try that this weekend thou.

I'm not sure why, but I have seen no one make big power with these heads. Not many use them either. Not sure what the problem is, trick flow 270's make more power from what I have seen and these have a 330cc port.

Here's a slip from my pump gas 408 which did have a solid roller, electric fan and pump just to be fair.
