Ive been working on my beater 70 v code charger with pdb, planning to put a 426 hemi into it tomorrow and just realized i dont think it will fit with the non hemi power disc booster.easiest solution is to switch the car to manual brakes for now,,,,,,,what do I need for parts to do this??

The factory drum brake master and rod won’t push enough fluid to feed your disc brakes. I doubt if you could just eliminate the booster and get a factory manual rod. I’d call Cass( dr diff) and get one of the new aluminum master cly that would do the job. I’m not sure what size bore you need but I think that your same brake tee would work. Cass will know.

I have a '70 Charger. MIne was originally a non power 4 wheel drum car. I currently have a booster and MC from a '75 Dart in it. Everything bolted right up. I don't know if the power brake cars used a different brake pedal but mine has a reinforced hole in the brake pedal lever that is the mount for the brake pushrod. I suspect that it is the same on power cars and that all you'd need to do is to remove the mechanical linkage pieces and just directly attach the brake pedal MC pushrod.

D,

You'll need a manual master pedal pushrod, or use the adjustable MP pushrod, the manual master firewall plate, and a manual disc/drum master (assuming you have factory discs?) there is a manual disc/drum master that is a "bolt on" factory style master, I'll assume your master line exits are "outboard", meaning they are between the master and the side firewall?, not between the engine and master?, I'll post the master PN later when I can access my notes

D,

You could use the manual disc/drum master 1627, available from Autozone/CQ, NAPA, Advance, Ebay etc, etc....either 10-1627 or M1627 should yield you a master at any of the parts stores.....personally I prefer Fenco re-manufactured masters M1627 over the Cardone re-manned units 10-1627
