6bblgt I Live Here Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 17,555 Las Vegas, NV	NO! most 15x8.0" wheels are ~9" wide (outside to outside of flanges) a 225 wide wheel (in a perfect world) has a 225mm / 25.4 = 8.9" section width (widest section of tire) would be wider on a 8" rim most 225/70/15 tires have ~6.8" of tread width there's the narrow tire/wide wheel "concept" taken to its extreme

6bblgt I Live Here Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 17,555 Las Vegas, NV	if it were mine, I'd run 245/60/15 I know you probably don't want "wide" tires on the front, but with an 8" wheel I think you are sort of "stuck" here's a 245/60/15 on a 15x7.0" (4.0" backspace, I think) wheel on the front of a '69 Road Runner what's your ride height? what's on the rear?
