Well done! I can’t remember what rear end ration you are running and what rear tire size, if I may ask.

I am running 4.30's with the 30 x 9 tire. I really think it may go faster with 4.10's or 3.91's as I trap around 6400 but it feels like it would pull more through the traps down around 6200. One day I may try less gear. Ron

Thanks as I did not get any launch pics this time. This bad pic is from last Oct when I ran in an NSS race. Not a good pic but its the only launch pic I have gotten in about two years. Course I don't race much. Ron

Always loved your car Ron, a real street car driven to the track. Now that LaPeer dragway here in Michigan has been completely redone I hope to do the same thing with my '65.
The track is about 15 minutes from my house, can't wait!

And I check the plugs once a year so with my health issue's that slow me down a lot its a nice simple to maintain car that runs good enough for me to enter some NSS races every now and then when I am up to it and can afford to go racing. I drive it most of the time on the street to local car shows and cruises but I love drag racing it the most by far and wish I could go more and get after the car some more. Ron

Holy moly...8 years (EIGHT) years ago?????

VERY COOL 63 platform
Street driven with no issues
Drive it to the track
Runs in the 10's
Drive it home
Low maintenance

True definition of a perfect street/strip car!

I don't know about it being the perfect street/strip car but I do have a lot of fun driving and racing it. Thanks so much for the kind words. Ron

Hey Ron,

If you don't mind....can you tell me about your fuel system?

Being that your car has full exhaust to the bumper, how/where is the pump mounted and
what kind of pump are you using?

(I always assumed the car had a stock fuel tank, and assumed you probably had electric pump by past pictures of your engine bay)

Thx
Rich

Sure as its very basic. I use a stock tank and a stock type 3/8 sending unit. I ran 3/8 line in the stock location but changed it last year and bring it up inside the pass side front wheelwell into the eng compartment as you can see in the pic. I figured this would keep it away from more under hood heat and less chance of fuel boiling in the carb bowls since I run just pump gas. I use the black Holley pump mounted in front of the gas tank. Its not below it as its right in front of the sending unit but its worked fine there since 2006 and since 1997 on my boys Dart which his pump was mounted in the same place. Its actually nothing fancy at all but it works fine for my combo. Ron
