727 with a gear vendor would be your best bet for an overdrive without hacking on the car much. A 518 auto would be nice but it requires some tunnel work.

A 518 will fit an e-body without too much work as the crossmember is back further than a b-body( they need the t-bar crossmember modified). There are build threads if you google.

518 will bolt right up =, minimal mods. call pro trans in lancaster ca. Pro Trans is finishing a move to Waco TX, look at Facebook for their new phone number. The best in racing transmissions, I would assume the street transmissions would be first class as well.
