Wife got a 2018 Jeep Compass with the 2.4L engine. I always look at how to jump our cars just in case she needs it done. I read the owner's manual and looked under the hood. I don't see a positive remote post and the pics attached show the battery area with the cover on and cover off. The negative post is near the bottom of the pic (the front of the jeep) and positive is near the top. Am I missing something here, I just don't see it. Didn't notice another post anywhere in the engine compartment either. Manual says it's by the battery. Pics got rotated, so the firewall (top as I took it) is to the left.

what is the grey plastic piece between the two studs you refer to doug ? All those colored blocks are fuses, grey, blown, orange, green, red. I see these blown all the time at work. I wok in the electrical garage at Chrysler in Auburn Hills debugging prototypes. Doug

You can use the large stud next to the red plastic piece with the 2 screws holding it. Don't use the large stud with the cable attached. All those colored blocks are fuses. jump on the out put side and you'll blow them. Doug Would it be the red, green, blue, or purple area circled? Purple is the actual battery terminal and not sure a jumper cable end can get into there. Red and blue look small, like a side post and should work. I was actually thinking it was the green when I first looked at it.
