I have a tranzact brake in mine. Works great.

That being said I would NEVER buy one again. Good luck getting a hold of them to purchase one, let alone getting any customer service after the sale.

I've only bought a handful of parts from cope, but he ALWAYS answers the phone or calls you back.

Maybe he's gotten better, and good for him of he has. But I'm certainly not the only one whose had issues getting a hold of him in the past.

Again...product works great though.

You guys might check what your caller ID looks like.

A few years ago I was trying to contact a chassis shop in Texas. They never would answer the phone. It was during the day and I was calling from work. Others would say they had zero problems talking to them.

I called one day on my cell phone and got right in myself.

Turns out when I called from work the caller ID showed the name of the bank I worked for and they would not answer it because they thought it was someone trying to sell them a credit card!

With all the spam phone calls these days many calls go unanswered based on caller ID.

If they're trying to run a business they need to answer the phone or they deserve all the negative consequences for not doing so. It would be nice if the Do Not Call Registry system worked but the bad guys hamstrung it from the start with loopholes and when in charge will not enforce the weak law that does exist.

Joe must have caller Id? ha ha there must be more to this. I have been trying to get a hold of Joe since last fall. I experienced a high line pressure problem with his trans brake valve body which caused the belleville spring to invert. Since he was not answering the phone when I needed help I ended up buying a new valve body from Keith Long. I had thought maybe he has health issues or other problems because he gone through some rough times in the past. I was thinking he got dementia from sanding aluminum valve bodies since he thinks he should no longer talk to me. I have known Joe for years and he always been a good guy. Joe would tell you everything he knew to help you. He would try to make things right if he made a mistake. Now this is not a good way to start a first post as a new member...I been a lurker for years but just had to chime in this time. I didn't join to talk bad about Joe. Some people said they got through on the phone, so after reading these posts I thought I would try to see if would pick up. He has no reason to avoid me far as I know. I have known Joe for over 20 years. I bought a 727 from him 20 years ago. I have been building my own stuff and have used his valve body for years without any problems. I wanted to see if Joe wanted to help me fix the high line pressure issue. So for the last 2 days I been calling but he does not pick up.
So maybe there is some truth to the caller id deal or maybe hes got dementia. Bottom line is I give up and wish him the best for what ever reason he decided to put me on the dont pick up caller id list. So now I am looking for someone who is still his friend who can still work with him with the pressure regulator spring and confirm the line pressure. I think this valve body just needs a lighter pressure regulator spring to bring down the line pressure down to 180. I think the spring he installed is 2 x what is needed. Can anyone talk to him about it or does anyone wants to buy a low band apply trans brake with a clean neutral for a 727 for 400$ - the solenoid works.

Thanks for hearing my rant
Jeff

John,

Thank you for offering your expertise to fix the Tranzact VB.
I am willing to pay for the shipping both ways and wondering what you would accept as payment to set the pressure and be able to give it a clean bill of health from the dyno readings ? I have a used good stock valve body or other core parts I can offer.
I know these parts are not much to offer.. but money is on the tight side. If not acceptable please pm me what it would cost to install the vb on the dyno set pressure and check.

I am hoping that after putting it on the dyno and setting line pressure you will be able to give it a clean bill of health. Hoping to sell it after this work has been done.

If anyone wants to buy after I get a clean bill of health from Dr. John please let me know. Its a low band apply reverse pattern transbrake with a clean neutral. You can still use it without the clean neutral if you dont want or need a clean neutral VB

Thanks John
Jeff

Adjusting the pressure is very easy. Let my dyno the vb set the pressure on the dyno and your lookn at 50 bucks. Joe's brother uses my valve body and services. So can you.

This is not a forum for selling race parts. Please place your for sale ads in the race parts or transmission parts for sale classifieds. Thank you.
