There's a 1970 340 parts carb on Facebook that has the same adjustment lever on it you need, he's asking $50.00 for the whole carb, be worth it to grab the lever and re-sell it to get your money back. I can send you a link if you email me.

Scott, other than the solenoid setup, what is the difference between the carb I have (4617SA) and the correct 4738S and 3740S carbs? Also, did Standard Products have a replacement (Part No. ES?) that was identical to the DR1114421 minus the engraved part number?

Thanks,
David

There were many small changes from 69-70 due to changes in emissions requirements, they were vented differently so the air horn casting is different they are jetted differently, and they did away with the dashpot on the drivers rear for 4 speed cars.

Aside from the differences either will work on your car (obviously) but only one is correct and you won't be able to make it correct appearing with any simple changes, how far you go just depend on your goals for the car. The solenoids sold by aftermarket vendors will work but there are usually small variables such as the brass cap being deleted, etc. on most like the example above. If you locate a correct carburetor and you need it restored I can help you. Also, I found a complete original and working solenoid in my stock today, I have the bracket and the special lever as well. If you are interested just give me a call.
