I think the last 2 years I've only known about it because I saw somebody mention it on here. It has been the first weekend in November for a pretty long time now, thats how I remember it. They promoted a little better this year, I at least saw a flyer in august lol. It is a really fun race and everyone seems to have a good time. I do think they need to reconsider running the bracket classes all 1/4 mile. The 1/4 mile sportsman and modern Hemi had way more cars than the 1/8 mile No box and Super Pro. There was some pretty heavy hitters in sportsman and I am assuming it was because it was 1/4 mile.

Anyone know the story on this Arkansas based 68 GTX street car? Based on the 9.95 dial, and the tube poking through the hood, I'm thinking Pro-Charged Big block?

I never got a chance to go see it up close so all I can confirm is it is a centrifigul blower on a V8 haha. Very much a sleeper, it sounded healthy but i wouldn't have guessed it as a 9 second car.

A lot of nice cars out there. Cool pictures. Two things conspire at this event to ensure everyone who races it gets plenty of action shots of their ride: 1: Tulsa Raceway Park benefits from three fine Photographers on site for most races. Charles Judd, Mary Penta Robinson, and Patrick "Red" Williams. 2: The entry fee is fairly low, and you can purchase a "mulligan" to use at any point in eliminations, you can also buy back after round 1, so technically you could lose three times, and most folks run more than one class. As an example the Heaths put 14 runs on their big block N/A pro street 70 Duster, resulting in a new 10.73-126 best and a powder puff class win for Michelle! That makes for a ton of photo opportunities!!

Mopar events these days pull a bunch of modern Hemi muscle, and Mopars at the Park is no exception. The biggest presence was that of the Kansas City Challenger Club, or KCCC. I guess it could cover for Kansas City Charger Club just as easily though!

One of the cool features allowed at TRP and Mopars at the Park...passengers on 1/8 mile runs, and it seemed to be a popular option!

It is no less cool now than when I first saw it ages ago. Since I wasn't actually there I can't speak with authority and it could be just really good photography, but both cars have been built for nearly twenty years and looked fantastic at this race...better than any shots or videos in the last five years! I have to wonder if Mark has freshened the paint or just seriously detailed everything!

That front pic of the RR leaving shows how lax nhra has become with keeping the stockers within the rules.

Youngster Declan Evans bought these two 78 short bed D-100 basket cases from Darren a few years ago. With guidance from my brothers , sourcing parts from their scrap piles, and tons of hard work by him and his Father, they debuted the truck for Mopars At The Park. The pump gas friendly 440 and 727 by Boone yielded a best of 11.53-117 so far.

Dale swapped converters in the Gremlin, and also changed front shocks and springs. He was rewarded with a new best of 8.54-158. Then he added a fresh nitrous bottle and proceeded to do this...

It bounced back up twice after coming back to earth from the initial wheelie, something he hadn't experienced before, and he unfortunately scraped the wall before gathering it up.
He decided to dial 8.85, since he didn't know what to expect. First round, he got completely out of it past half track, and coasted to a win with an 8.94-105. When he checked his 1/8 mile clocking, it was 5.38-132...a full tenth quicker and 3 mph faster than his 8.54 best earlier.
If the tires look a little lost in the wheel well, it's because they are only 28 X 10.5, since he's been doing some small tire racing.

Anyone know the story on this killer little 64? The Valiant belongs to a friend of mine. Runs a big B1 engine with a glide. Lost a bearing Saturday morning on a 9.20 pass. It will run a lot quicker than that.

What did the timeslips show for the Demons? I don't remember actual times, but the red Demon was dialed 10.15 and the blue Demon was dialed 10.45 the one round I noticed. I am pretty sure the red Demon was a single seat car, don't know about the blue one.

Farmboy, I think the white one was a widebody HellCat, but I'm no expert on new Challengers...

Thought there was a white Demon that made a pass right ahead of me. Seems like it ran a 11.0 I don't remember any white Demons there. From the back the white Hellcat that Billy posted looks pretty much the same as a Demon.

It ran in the low 11s NA, it has a Jim Lewis built small block in it. That is Moparts member BigSqueeze's oldest boy Piece of Cake Jake behind the wheel.
I was very surprised to hear how light that truck is, 3300lbs.
