Welcome aboard and good luck with both cars. I love the way some people think that you can just "Buy" speed. They don't recognize that they are also emissions and safety compliant, come with all the latest touch screen electronic novelties, and free of major wind noise, squeaks, rattles, vibrations. I remember when the 6 speed Challengers first came out. More people complained about the transmission rattling at a rolling idle in first gear, and clunking when letting off the gas at speed. Keep us posted on those 9's. It's nice to hear some "real world" numbers from real people and not a test piece.

One thing that sticks out is most of the cars you see run on youtube have a note on the bottom that says that the transbrake and torque reserve weren't used, I think tractions the main problem. I'm guessing the 9.65 was mineshaft air, unheard of track prep and every doodad and gadet used. Plus the driver probably was a little more svelte than some of the people piloting these cars.(and a pro if I'm not mistaken)

Yes, the 9.65 pass was made by a professional female driver. Her name escapes me at the moment but she races for Dodge. It was made in the most stripped down model available and the DA was around -1500, I heard. Leah Pritchett.

I follow Ron Silva and his journey of racing his Demon all over the country. He claims his car is getting faster and faster the more miles and passes he gets on it. I want to say I saw him mention some Demon owners getting together in Gainesville FL over the winter to try and duplicate the factory runs.
I believe Ron's car which is stock other than tires has gone 9.83 in good but not ridiculously good air. So in amazing air I don't see the factory claimed ET to be out of reach. What REALLY amazes me is if they really did that on the factory Nitto tire, it seems ditching those is almost required do get the car to hook at all.
Edit, 9.83@137.xx at 650ft DA, He also ran 140MPH @2500DA.
