There is lots of guys that run pump fuel on the drives regardless of engine combo. There is also guys that run race fuel the whole trip.

Most of them just run 93 octane maybe reducing the timing. IF you do not stress it, the CR does not bother, your cylinders wll not be full of A/F, and therefore the true CR much less

Ok, I thought I was loosing my mind because I swore it was a ShadyDell Indy 360-1 motor, and it WASbut it looks like he changed motors. Here are my pictures from 2014 Drag Week when he won small block no power adder:
