The P5 is a splayed valve head, the Hemi on the valve cover is solely about marketing and making it relevant to what's available from the Factory. That said the early versions, there was a "wedge" style, where the spark plug come in from the side, rather than the valve cover. The heads are basically the same. They were developed to compete against the splayed valve chevy engines for Pro Stock Truck in the mid 90's
