after thinking about it, I'm doing cut to fit. the easy button is tempting though. thanks all Probably the best decision. Thats what I do. The lengths are always right because I did them myself. Just take your time and you will be happy with the results.

I cut my own to fit. Firecore will not let you do this, so I use MSD or Taylor. There is no power difference b/t them.

I bought a set of Firecore wires. They fit my application okay, just wasn't thrilled w/how they locked onto the plug. Just my opinion, went back to Taylor 409's. Much happier w/them! Taylor all the way Ken My one personal experience with Firecore told me they were JUNK. The boots on the plugs cracked almost immediately. A good friend of mine lost a new nitrous motor due to a misfire associated with a BRAND NEW set of Firecore wires. I wouldn't put the on my lawn mower. MSD wires are all I use.

Good grief, another plug wire thread, how much free advertising is one company allowed? Seriously? I've donated over $10 grand in cash to Moparts events, members, sponsorships, contests, car shows, and etc. Firecore50 Wires have been BOUGHT by all of the Schumacher Top Fuel Teams for 8 years straight, trusted by Championship Pro Stock Motorcycle cycle Teams for the same amount of time, on the worlds fastest gasoline powered, piston driven car, World Champion tractor pullers, APBA race boats, hundreds of track champions, track record holders, and everything in between. The wire has proven itself. Sometimes the boots, terminals, or terminations have failed due to human error, but the wire has not. I've been a paid sponsor on here, on and off for years. Only reason have not as of late, I forgot to pay Tom. I still sponsor a bunch of Moparts racers, though. One of the most active, in my opinion, racers on here, Al Aguire, will attest to the integrity of myself, and my wire. I've spent over 5 grand, just on one Moparts party at Norwalk. Those parties were the best things going. Whatever problems someone might have had with our wire or me, I'll work it out. As far as lawn mowers, those need a solid core .. Here is a podcast, that has over 10k unique listeners. Are the negative guys saying these guys are clueless? https://www.facebook.com/scott.clark.923...k1Mzg4MjkyMjEz/PS, All 4 of the Connie Kalitta Top Fuel Cars will be buying Firecore50 Wires as well.. Just got off the phone with a Crew Chief.

The short answer is there isn't a hp difference between plug wires unless wires are d3fective somehow. I guess if they are solid core and the RFI is interfering with the ignition electronics, then yes.
R. I can tell you this is not true. I have done dozens of A B A tests on brand new spark plug wires and there is one brand of spark plug wires mention earlier in this thread that ALWAYS picks up hp when i replace them with my spare set of firecore wires. (I bought, was not given) As far as the OP, I don't think you can go wrong with either choice. FYI I run firecore on my race car. Joe

Good grief, another plug wire thread, how much free advertising is one company allowed? Whether it's blocks, wires, rear ends, transmissions, whatever, it's about information. Call it what you want, conversations about real world results are worth having. I appreciate information from the people actually building the parts and doing the work. I don't understand the desire to run them all off. To the subject at hand, there are a number of companies that make decent wires. It's like oil, everybody has their favorite. I think the maintenance of plug wires is at least as important as the brand. I consider them a consumable. Years ago, I was advised - by someone I always listen to, a guy smarter than me - to replace plug wires every year, coil wires every 6 months. I do that, I don't have plug wire issues.
If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

I keep info of every pass I make and have never seen a reason to do that. My ultra 40’s were put on three years ago when i built this engine and the engine is still printing tickets. But then again I consider myself a budget racer that hates wasting money
