WHO'S JEALOUS???? offtopic
As the guy who started this thread, I was never mentioning ANYTHING about his bank account. Who cares??? Nothing to do with what I meant. Why does everyone immediately mention his wealth??? That's why I made the new kids on the block joke.
I'm sure they guy is good at flipping cars. So what. I meant he should quit trying to be a driver, or a builder, or even someone who gets the meaning of getting treed.
He should stick to what he knows, being a flipper, ladies jeans and bracelets.

Now I see why he didn't want to drive his pro-mod/street car Challenger against Chief awhile back. Likely would have totaled it too.

He gets his money from TV networks, advertisers, and his restaurant chains. He even has a restaurant in South Africa. Once his TV time runs out so will a good chunk of the money just like the American Chopper guys etc.

I remember liking his show when it came out. There are a lot of cool cars that are not collectable enough to restore and come out ahead which is a sweet spot for us low buck hobbyists to have some fun. It seemed like they were doing the stuff a lot of us do making fun slightly ratty hotrods but then they managed to sell them for top dollar based on their branding which is a good trick.

I can’t even watch their show now it’s like a lame product showcase for their parts sponsors and their corporate customers like how the occ bikes were.

That Richard guy I thought all his car guy credibility was from once holding the coast to coast felony speeding ticket avoidance record? Thunderball or gumball or something?

Probably a good idea he didn’t get talked into getting into the Laughlin car to race Big Chief! I don’t know but if my “image” had a significant impact on my carreer and I was about to do something I had absolutely NO IDEA how to do, I would get some serious advice from some serious people. I still might not have the talent, but I wouldn’t lose because I was clueless!

Using no ones words but his own.

The very definition of hypocritical.

Actually a simple google search would show you he is self made.

It's ok to not like the guy, as I don't really care for him either, but never once has he claimed to be a driver, and he earned his own money.

To say he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth without checking it out is silly.

Not many guys are really worried about how much money he has or how he got it. I personally don’t watch or care for his show because I can’t stand him. He just has a habit of the few times I do see him he confirmes to
Me how much of an idiot he really is.

If you look him up, he mentions going broke a couple times trying to start gas monkey. It's not like he got a show and became rich... he spent many years to get where he is. He was with Arron working on one of the builds on Overhaulin many years ago. He may not work on cars now, but he did at least some in the past.

I really liked the show when it first came on the air, but can barely stand watching it now. Not really cause of Rawlings either.

Success stories are great, when a guy gets rich honestly. I have no problem with him having $$. whether his fortune is a house of cards that will tumble when his show fades away, or if is solid, I don't know or care. But he just comes off as a jerk, every time I'm seen him.

Like after the crash, he never admits to screwing up, never apologizes to Leah or Dodge, just makes a bunch of lame excuses. Then he says he doesn't feel bad, getting beat by the the fastest woman in the world. Well, he would have got beat by a heard of snails dragging a pulling sled! Because when you hit the wall, you are DQ'ed!

Compare his lame excuses to somebody who is truly great but humble like This guy Randy and you see what class is vs being a tool like RR.

I was pointing out to can that his assumption was wrong. That's all.
