There is a bracket that bolts to the oil pan rail. I'll dig for a pic of it when I get home.

Is a limiter necessary when you have both motor plate and mid plate?

I would definitely use them... 2 flat plates in the
vertical plane are not the best for holding a load,
they tend to bow under load in a horizontal plane

I looked for a pic of the bracket on the oil pan rail, I can't find one. It's basically a flat plate with a couple of holes to bolt to the pan rail. On the bottom of the plate there is a tab welded to it that the limiter rod bolts to.

Ok thanks... I can make that.
I was going to go to the engine mount ears but I was afraid it would break them off...

I just went solid all around on my mounts. I made the front mount plates and made a solid mount setup for the tranny. Actually smoother feeling than when i had rubbers all around I kept tearing. I went solid in front and boss just said run a solid on the tranny too. Says he did in his and never had problems. So far all is well and have had it like this for awhile. Am I asking for it solid all around. Doesn't seem it would be any difference with solid fronts and a limiter setup? Could be wrong though?

Seen too many tranny tailshafts broke off due to the
solid tranny mount. If you get chassis flex(which
you do) it binds on the tranny mount, over time
it can only take so much flexing ... but thats up
to you to do it any way you wish

Mr P.

Maybe i should have described how I did it. Maybe that why it working so far? I used trailer receiver square tubing for it. Male tubing is welded to the plate that bolts on the tranny. Than I used the female tubing and notched my tranny cross memeber for it and welded it in. Put a bolt through the assembly mid way facing front to back. Maybe the little bit of slop in the tubing is letting it move around under extreme movements? Thanks for the warning too. I will keep an eye on it. I picked up a spare tranny mount on ebay once. Amazing when u got a car that is not in much demand how cheap you can get things for.

I bushed the hole in the block down and used 1/2" rod ends. The mount on the K-frame needs to be on each side of the heim. Mine is only on one side and after a while in was twisted so I reinforced it with a piece of 1/4".

That very well be the movement you need. If you
remember your old math classes you ALWAYS have 2
points in a line but if you add the 3rd point it might
be in line but if you add flex it most likely wont
be in line
